MANUAL ROBOTICS WORKSHOP

Duration: 2 days (16 hours)

Introduction:

Manual is the ideal way to spice up theoretical concepts in electronics with the dynamicity of robotics through a 2 day workshop, focusing on the art of building autonomous robots out of discrete electronic components.

Participants apply concepts learnt in classrooms in new & interesting ways, creating simple yet seemingly complex task performing robotic creatures. The workshop inculcates numerous hands-on sessions on designing, analyzing & building circuits that form basic building blocks for different robots.

This workshop is ideal for beginners and enthusiast who want to enter and explore the emerging field of robotics.

Schedule:

Day 1

• Introduction to Robotics
• Basics of robot construction
• Basics of electronics and testing circuits
• Transistors, diodes, soldering

Day 2

• Motors and Motor Drivers
• Sensors
• Understanding Op Amps
• Understanding IC 555

Training Outcome:

At the end of this workshop, the participants will have designed and implemented their own manual robots that can perform forward, backward, right, left, speed control methods implementation. Construction of robot and control panel. Various power supply options for robotics and safety considerations.

Demonstrations:

Robo soccer, all terrain navigation for robot competitions.

• Motors (Geared -2)
• Control panel with motor speed adjustment.
• Battery Holders with relevant connectors
• Robust chassis with gripper
• Reading material hardcopy, and demo videos.
